Hybridelektrischer Antrieb für Fiat 500
Eine smarte Hybridsteuerung kombiniert den Benzinmotor mit den Vorzügen des Elektroantriebs in einem attraktiven Auto / kultigen Flitzer
Ein Elektroauto, das auch mit leeren Akkus ans Ziel kommt. Ein echter Fiat 500, der gewöhnlich mit Ökostrom fährt, bis zu 700 km Reichweite und sportliche 110 PS hat. Was 2009 noch ein Konzept war, ist seit 6 Wochen als Prototyp auf der Strasse unterwegs und ab Herbst 2010 als limitierte Vorserie im Alltagstest. Der Plug-In Hybrid Fiat 500 swisscleandrive ist ein Auto, das die Vorzüge des Elektroantriebs mit denen des Verbrennungsmotors kombiniert.
Die von swisscleandrive entwickelte Hybridsteuerung kombiniert verschiedene Antriebssysteme im Fiat 500. Sie verwandelt den trendigen Vierplätzer in eine Kombination von drei eigenständigen Fahrzeugen, zwischen welchen während der Fahrt per Knopfdruck hin und her gewechselt werden kann:
- Elektroauto mit Null Benzinverbrauch und ohne CO2-Emissionen, über 100km/h schnell und bis 30 km weit: im Alltag werden die meisten Strecken damit bewältigt.
- Kraftvoller 4x4 Hybrid (Benziner und Elektromotor kombiniert) mit einem Verbrauch von unter 3 l/100km: Für längere Fahrten oder mehr Leistung und Allradantrieb.
- Herkömmlicher Kleinwagen mit einem Verbrauch von durchschnittlich 5.1l/100km: Für Langstrecken und Autobahn (Spitzengeschwindigkeit 160km/h) und immer wenn die Batterie leer ist oder der Strom für später aufgehoben wird.
Dabei spart der swisscleandrive im Schnitt circa 50% der Energie. Getankt wird der Strom direkt ab Haushaltssteckdose, Ökostrom inklusive. Der Benzinmotor läuft mit Bleifrei wie gewohnt und kann an jeder Zapfsäule aufgetankt werden.
Das Antriebssystem wurde von der swisscleandrive gmbh entwickelt. Das Team um Martin Bolliger hat Know-How und Erfahrung aus 20 Jahren Elektromobilität mit den heutigen Anforderungen und Möglichkeiten zu einem cleveren Produkt vereint.
An der Entwicklung beteiligt waren Spezialisten aus dem Umfeld der BFH-TI in Biel, den TWIKE Entwicklern (dreifels Lithium Power), Fiat Schweiz sowie aus der Nachhaltigkeits- und Energieversorgungsbranche (ewz, BKW-FMB Energie AG, nachhaltig wirkt). Die Entwicklung wurde vom Bundesamt für Energie unterstützt.

Das SwissCleanDriveTM ist ein modulares System, mit dem herkömmliche Autos zu Plug-In Hybrid Elektroautos erweitert werden. Damit können die CO2 Emissionen massiv reduziert werden und trotzdem bleibt die volle Freude am Auto erhalten.

A smart hybrid controlbox combines the thermal engine with the advantages of the electric motor in a great car / sporty little job.
An electric car that reaches the destination even with empty batteries. A true Fiat 500 that normally drives on ecopower and combines 700 km range with athletic 110 hp. 2009 still a concept, has been on the streets as a Prototyp for six weeks and will go into field test in fall 2010 in a limited edition preseries. The Plug-in hybrid Fiat 500 swisscleandrive is a car that brings together all the advantages of the electric drive with the comfort of the thermal engine.
The hybrid controller of swisscleandrive combines different drive systems under the hood of the Fiat 500. It changes the nifty four seater into a combination of three independant vehicles. While driving one can freely switch between them.

- Conventional small car with average consumption of 5.1 l/100km: Longdistance, Autobahn (up to 160 km/h) and whenever the battery is empty or the power is saved for later.
swisscleandrive saves about 50% of energy. It is refuelled at the domestic socket, ecopower included. The thermal engine runs on conventional unleaded and is refueled at the gaz station.
The driving system was developed by swisscleandrive ltd. The team around Martin Bolliger made use of over 20 years of know-how and experience with electric mobility and created a truely clever product.
Part of the team was the experts form BFH-TI in Biel/Bienne, the developers of TWIKE (dreifels Lithium Power), Fiat Switzerland as well as from the field of utilities and sustainability (ewz, BKW-FMB Energie, nachhaltig wirkt). The federal office for Energy has supported the development.
